How She's in the Game

Kerri Walsh started her foundation, the Chase the Stars Foundation, in 2004 "to support the notion that every child should have the opportunity to chase their dream." The organization supports programs that "improve the well-being, health, and quality of children's lives." Chase the Stars Foundation works to make a difference for kids and help them achieve their dreams.

Walsh's philanthropy is not restricted to her foundation. She has visited with the children at the UCSF Children’s Hospital for many hours within days of returning from winning a gold medal in Beijing, making a $5,000 grant from her Chase the Stars Foundation. She is also a supporter of Ronald McDonald House, Boys & Girls Club, Dig 4 Kids and the Good Tidings Foundation.
