How He's in the Game

Jeremy is an active part of Not For Sale, which is an organization that works to stop human trafficking. Before the Giants season started, Affeldt and his wife Larisa met with professors and staff members at the University of San Francisco to discuss their efforts to help eliminate human trafficking. It was Affeldt's first year with the team and he made human rights a priority. He also realizes the potential that high school students have and makes it a point to meet with them either in the classroom or at the ballpark.

Affeldt realizes that we all have the power to make a positive impact in the world. Using his platform as a professional athlete he is able to reach out and encourage others to help out those who need it most.

About Jeremy Affeldt

Jeremy Affeldt is a left-handed relief pitcher for the San Francisco Giants. He has also played for Kansas City, Colorado, and Cincinatti. Affeldt was 1 of 5 relievers to pitch at least 75.0 innings, and average one strike-out per inning.

In 2003, Affeldt was awarded the Marvin Miller Man of the Year Award for his work in the community.
