How He's in the Game

In only his first year in the NBA, Stephen Curry emerged as one of his team’s leaders both on and off the court. As the son of former NBA All Star Dell Curry, Stephen had already been exposed to the spotlight, as well as the importance of giving back, before he joined the Warriors’ roster. He’s extensively involved in the team’s community outreach efforts, including their Read to Achieve and Ticket Donation campaigns. He also hosts the annual Curry Celebrity Golf Classic to benefit the Ada Jenkins Center in Davidson, North Carolina. He’s also organized youth basketball camps to benefit North Carolina residents.

About Stephen Curry

After breaking nearly every scoring record at Davidson College and leading his team to a Regional Finals appearance in the 2008 NCAA Tournament, Curry was drafted number 7 overall in the 2009 NBA Draft. In his rookie season with the Golden State Warriors, he was selected to play in the All-Star Rookie game. He was also a member of the US National Team that won the 2010 FIBA Championships.
